The Activity Assistant will carry out the above duties in keeping with the mission of Little Sisters of the Poor, namely the caring for the aged poor with love, respect and dignity.
Making the elderly happy, that is what counts was a saying of Saint Jeanne Jugan, foundress of the Little Sisters of the Poor.
Central to this philosophy is the promotion of the psychological, emotional, spiritual and social well-being of our Residents in an atmosphere of kindness and faith.
Job Functions:
Helps to plan, prepare, conduct and direct the daily activities of individuals and groups according to their needs, abilities, desires and interests.
Implement activity programs and interventions to assist the Resident in meeting treatment goals.
Ensures the timely documentation of resident participation in one to one (1:
1) activities by fully and accourately recording progress.
Maintains confidentiality of all residents, departmentl, and organizational information.
Ensures that Residents rights are maintained at all times, reporting issues of concern to the activity director.
