PDR Technician

Position Summary
A PDR Technician repairs dent damage to restore the vehicle to its state before it was damaged and provides excellent customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepares cost estimates
Performs cosmetic dent repairs by using trained techniques and various tools on small to midsize dent damage
Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
Strong customer service skills
Strong verbal communication skills
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1 - 2 years prior experience performing Paintless Dent Repairs (PDR) preferred
Must possess a valid driver's license
Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional and/or technical data and technical procedures
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and fractions
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Ability to work Days, Nights, Holidays and Weekends

Must be able to lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance
Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time

Enters and locates information on computer
Visually verifies information, often in small print

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
