Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist

Erickson Health Medical Group (EHMG), a leading retirement health network is seeking a Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist to support the critical medical staff and allied health credentialing process throughout our practice model. Duties include the gathering, verification and evaluation of confidential healthcare provider credentials that enable our providers to deliver exceptional resident care at our 20 communities nationwide.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Initiating information collection, verification and documentation processes of medical staff provider demographic data within credentialing software.
Partnering with the Medical Staff Services Team and the CVO to assist with credentialing, reappointment and other key provider initiatives.
Meets routine reporting requirements to ensure current and compliant documentation regarding provider status.
Maintaining exceptional confidentiality and sensitivity regarding all information necessary for effective peer review decision-making.
Provide exceptional customer service and attention to detail, with a passion for excellence in the credentialing work group product.

Associate's degree from an accredited institution/program, medical staff services sciences program or other in business and/or healthcare
Minimum of 2 years credentialing software experience required
NAMSS membership affiliation required (if not a current member, Erickson will assist in securing membership status)
Medical staff office experience involving primary source verification and payer credentialing preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
