Catering and Events Manager

The Catering Manager manages all aspects of catering/event coordination. Responsible for overall supervision of all Dining Room Staff, Catering Staff, Utility Staff, Culinary Staff and Supervisors (including training, evaluating and disciplining). Assists with all aspects of catering/event coordination from set up, execution and break down.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.
1. Plans, coordinates and books all rooms, functions and events.
2. Supervises the overall efficiency of community catered operations.
3. Fosters an environment that includes mentoring and development of all personnel and maintains a strong sense of team.
4. Supervises, schedules, evaluates, trains, hires and disciplines assigned dining staff and supervisors.
5. Satisfies clients with dining services including, but not limited to, the quality of food served, quality of service, and overall sanitation of the dining and event areas.
6. Supervises organization and sanitation of dining rooms, kitchens, storage areas, loading docks and elevators.
7. Ensures proper portioning of foods and attractive plate presentation.
8. Ensures the proper opening and closing of food service operations.
9. Manages the food service operation within budgetary perimeters. Purchases services and approved products from approved vendors.
10. Ensures that food and supplies are inventoried, ordered, received and stored according to company standards.
11. Communicates appropriately with all food service staff, supervisors and listens effectively.
12. Effectively uses designated food service, catering and other computer systems.
13. Participates in resident and employee satisfaction programs and activities.
14. Ensures they and all staff work safely, consistently using designated safety equipment (personal protective equipment- PPE).
15. Ensures that all services and programs are in compliance with federal, state and/or local laws and statutes.
16. Shows professional knowledge, proficiency and initiative in achieving goals and meeting standards.
? Required to work weekends and holidays.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
? Minimum of five years restaurant or food service management experience including catering experience.
? B.S. degree in Rest. Mgmt., Dietetics or Inst. Mgmt. may be substituted for up to 1 year experience.
? College Degree in Restaurant Management preferred, but not required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
